Simplify data protection with built-in management at scale

• Centralized management. Monitor, operate, govern, and optimize data protection at scale in a unified and consistent manner using Backup Center.
• Application consistency. Back up and restore data from virtual machines with application consistency in Windows using Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) and in Linux with pre- and post- processing scripts.
• Multi-workload support. Back up Azure Virtual Machines, on-premises servers, SQL Server and SAP HANA on Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Files, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.

Pricing

You have the flexibility to choose between locally redundant storage (LRS), zone redundant storage (ZRS)Preview or geo-redundant storage (GRS) for your backups. If you enable cross-region-restore, we upgrade your backup storage from GRS to read-access geo-redundant storage (RA-GRS). Charges for storage are separate from the cost of Azure Backup Protected Instances

Example: If you have 1.2 TB of data in one instance, then the cost would be $30 plus storage consumed. You would be charged $10 for two 500 GB increments and $10 for the remaining 200 GB data.
