Microsoft Windows Server 2022 CAL (1 license pack) Sale in the OEM Channel

We would like to inform you that we have discontinued the supply and sale of OEM products in the form of 1 client access license (CAL) packs for Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard / Datacenter for users (User CAL) and devices (Device CAL).

These access licenses are mandatory for use with server software and provide legal connection of users or devices to services based on Windows Server 2022 Standard / Datacenter. System administrators can choose the appropriate licensing model — per user or per device — depending on the business needs of the company.

It is important to note that CALs differ from server licenses. A Client Access License entitles users or devices to connect to a server with Microsoft server software installed.

For convenience, two language versions of the documentation are available: English and Russian. Although the documentation is only available in English and Russian, this does not prevent you from using Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard / Datacenter licenses in any available language version of the software. Users can use these licenses regardless of the interface or documentation language.

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard / Datacenter user (User CAL) and device (Device CAL) access licenses can also be used to license access to previous versions of Microsoft Windows Server Standard / Datacenter server software that are currently technically supported by Microsoft.

Important!

• Connecting users or devices without a client access license is a violation of the license agreement.
• Timely renewal of client access licenses (CALs) will help prevent unauthorized access to Windows Server caused by license mismatches.
• Accessing the latest version of Windows Server with an older version of the client license is a violation of licensing rules.
